two more layouts...

Hi everyone,

I made two more layouts with old family photo's last week.
I really want to document as many of these old family photo's as possible.
I'm kind of doing it project life style, with the divided page protectors.
But, I will also include some 12x12 scrapbook pages too.

Here are the two layouts.

I hope you like them.
I really enjoyed making these.

old family photo's.....

Hi everyone!

Last week I made up two project life pocket pages using old family photo's.
I had a lot of fun making these.

The papers are all from Stampin' Up!
Most are from the This and That DSP collection, and some are from Etcetera DSP collection.
These two collections work quite well together.

I used dies to cut out many of the embellishments for the bits of papers left.
The circle card thinlit die from stampin' Up! had many little dies in this kit.
I used the heart, the xoxo, the star, the label, the chevrons.
I also used the Chalk Talk Framelit dies from Stampin' Up!
I used Spellbinders circle nestabilities dies, the classic scallop circle dies and the lacy ovals.
I used some of the dies in the My FavoriteThings Blueprint #4 die set,
and Memory Box Pippi Butterfly die.

The metal butterflies are from Recollections.
The stamps are Swallowtail (SU), Fresh Vintage (SU- retired), Cute by the inch (SU-retired)
and Word Bubbles by Hero Arts.
I used versamark and white embossing powder,
and for ink pads - Bermuda Bay and Soft Suede from Stampin' Up!
I used various washi tapes from Stampin' Up!.
I used stickers from a retired Stampin' Up! Scrapbooking kit I had got.
Can't remember the name of it.
I also added some gold and silver sequins.
They really add lots of sparkle.

I love these pages.
I know it looks like I used lots of stuff to make these.
But, It was all stuff that I had on hand.
I didn't have premade 3x4 and 4x6 cards.
I just used leftover double sided scrapbooking paper.
This is a great way to use it up, so that it doesn't sit forever in your scrap bins.

I hope you like them.

Art Journal #1: Inner cover pages

I took out my art journal again and painted the inner cover pages at the front of the book.
I had no plan for these pages.
I just picked colors and a few matching papers and started painting.
I had a lot of fun making this.
It was very relaxing.

My Little girl....

Hi,

I made another mixed media scrapbook page.
This one I'm keeping.
This one was a bit more challenging.
I pushed myself to use much brighter colors then what I normally use.
I really like the way it turned out though.
I'm new at this, so.....go easy on me.
lol

Here it is.
The picture of my daughter was taken in May 2013.

I hope you like it.

Organizing my craft room

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all well.
This past week, I started putting my craft room back together.
When my husband had his motorcycle accident last April,
all my craft stuff was removed from my room in order to make space for other furniture that had to be moved when my husband came home from the hospital.
Because he is getting better, we have returned a bunch of the medical equipment that he no longer needs. That freed up my craft room again. Yeah!!!
I brought in some new storage units for my craft supplies.
I wanted open storage, so that I could see what I have.

I got a cube storage unit similar to the Expedit unit from Ikea.
It has 16 cubes in it.
I have four of them organized now.

I made some inserts using foam core board to display my paints and threads.
I used this tutorial for my inspiration for those displays.
I also made an organizer for my ink pads.
I got the directions from this tutorial.

I also decorated the top a bit.

Don't you just love those hand carved wooden stamps!!

Well, its getting there.
I still have  lot to organize, but it's a start.

Two Mixed Media Scrapbook pages...

Hi everyone,

I hope you are doing well.

I've been so inspired by the mixed media scrapbook artists out there.
One of my best friends recently had a baby and she sent me all these pictures.
I thought that I would get her baby scrapbook started for her.
You know how busy Mom's with newborns are.

I thought she would like these.
So here they are.

Here is the second layout using a divided page protector.

Paper: "Etcetera" and "This and That" Designer Series Paper(SU)
Embellisments: metal embelishments, pearl and rhinestone accents (Recollections)
Paint: liquitex gesso, americana whispering turquoise, golden light molding paste
Dies: Sissix flourish, Tim Holtz tattered flowers, Chevron die from SU circle thinlit set

I hope you like my layouts.
They were a lot of fun to make.
By the way, this was my first mixed media scrapbook page.
It was so much fun....there will be many more in my future.

A few Christmas Cards...

Hi everyone,

It's been a while since I've blogged.
It's been crazy busy around here.
I only get a few free moments here and there to craft.

I've decided not to continue as a demonstrator for Stampin' Up!
I love their product and will continue to buy it!!
I wish life would have allowed me the time to dedicate to being a demonstrator.
But, I just don't have the time to devote to it.
I put in my last order of stuff the other day and it's on its way already.
I won't worry about it.

I will continue to stamp and make cards and scrapbook.
I will share my paper crafts on this blog.
Without further adieu.....here are a few Christmas cards!!

I hope you like my cards.

Build A Banner.......

Hi everyone,

I hope you are having a great day.
Last night I decided to take out my Build a Banner Simply Created Kit.
I love this kit.
There are so many possibilities with it.

Here is my first little banner.

This cute Christmas Joy Banner used only 3 pendants from the kit.

I used the hexagon punch for the center and a decorative button.

I used the same paper to make the two Christmas flowers.
I used the hexagon punch to make these flowers.

Didn't my banner turn out cute!!!

Hi everyone,

I just stuck the card right on top of the gift box.
I used designer series paper to decorate the box too!
Cute eh!!!

This second card had to be made in record time.
I didn't have as much time to embellish it.
But its still cute, I think!

Have you checked out my store lately!

There are some really cool new products out.

Like the new single stamps.

Check out the flyer here.

Have a great day!

A few Christmas Tags!

Hi everyone,

I made a few Christmas Tags with my Stampin' Up! papers.
I just had an hour or so to play with my stuff.
Here are my tags.

the Christmas Messages Stamps and
the Season of Style Designer Series Paper
from the Holiday Catalogue.

These tags don't have ribbons yet.
I'm still waiting for my ribbons to come in.

But I thought I would share them.
They are so cute.

If you are interested in placing an order with me.

New Holiday Catalogue and more!!!!

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all well.

I wanted to share the new Holiday Catalogue with you.
There are some amazing products in it.
You can order items from this catalogue in my online store.

Also, I plan to put an order in on August 15th.
If you want to save on shipping, just send me an email at ariane.kring(at)gmail(dot)com
or call me and we can bundle the orders together.

We also have a bunch of new products this month.

These are amazing.
I'm ordering both in my next order.

THINLITS CARD DIES

They've been called flip cards, flip flop cards, swing cards, and more-but they have always been a bit tricky to create. Not anymore! Our amazing new Thinlits Card Dies cut and score to create a card that flips in just one step.
ItemDescriptionPrice
133479Label Card Thinlits Die$40.95
133480Circle Card Thinlits Die$40.95
Available August 1, 2013
There are some products you just have to see in action before you realize how much you need them, right? This is one of them! Plan to feature these dies in your events and share the video. When your customers see what they can do, they will place their orders.
These new card dies come with extra die pieces that have versatile designs, so you can use them on other projects, not just flip cards. (The Circle Card Thinlits Die comes with 10 total pieces; the Label Card Thinlits Die comes with nine total pieces.)
With the number of dies you're getting, plus the die that creates the card itself, the price is a great value-especially to create an interactive card!
  • Promote mass production of these impressive "flip" cards. They would make great announcements, invitations, or Christmas cards. You can even help your customers select all the supplies they will need to create their cards.
  • These Thinlits Card Dies will be available at least through the 2013-2014 catalog year, so you can feel confident investing in them and promoting them for many months to come.
  • The main shape in the cards (circle and label) can work with a lot of our stamp images so you can create tons of different kinds of cards using many different stamp sets. Here are just a few suggestions to get you started:
Label Card Thinlits Die (item 133479):
  • Happy Day Stamp Set (item 130294 W item 130297 C)
Circle Card Thinlits Die (item 133480):
  • Worth the Wait Stamp (item 131094 W)
  • Five-Way Flower Stamp (item 131088 W)
Both card dies pair well with:
  • Oh, Hello Stamp Set (item 131931 W item 130733 C)
  • Yippee-Skippee! Stamp Set (item 131341 W item 131344 C)
  • Really Good Greetings Stamp Set (item 130330 W item 130333 C)
  • Regarding Dahlias Stamp Set (item 130324 W item 130327 C)
  • These dies also work well with our new magnetic platform (item 130658) so you can place the dies exactly where you want them!
